Accommodation Services
The Accommodation Support Services lies under the umbrella of
the Monkami Centre Inc; providing Accommodation Services toadults
with intellectual and/or dual disabilities in the Outer Eastern
Region of Melbourne.
The purpose of Monkami Accommodation Services is to provide high
quality, community based supported accommodation for people with
disabilities, whichenablesthem to have access to community
activities and experience a lifestylewhich emulates that of other
community members. This includes enhancing person’s appearance,
experiences, status and reputation.
The overall aim is in PROMOTING CHOICE IN ALL LIFE AREAS thus
providing individuals the opportunity to develop skills that will
enable them to live with the greatest degree of independence within
their own community.
The Service operates in accordance with principles and
objectives of Monkami Centre Inc. and those specified in the
Disability Act (2006). |
