About The Role:

We are currently seeking a reliable, motivated and experienced Bookkeeper / Accounts Officer to join our team.  Reporting to the CEO, this role will provide general finance support inclusive of day to day NDIS finance functions and generalist financial related administration tasks such as the administering of service contracts, billing and collections, accounts payable and receivable and some general administration duties where required.

In conjunction with the CEO, the Bookkeeper / Accounts Officer will update and maintain the finance system database and the CMS database to ensure accurate data is available to effectively administer accounts payable, receivable and NDIS financial functions. 

The Bookkeeper / Accounts Officer will review and verify documentation to ensure all relevant information is provided ensuring accuracy and timely payment of accounts in accordance with the organisational financial procedures. 

Skills & Experience:

To be successful in this role you will have;

  • Certificate IV in Bookkeeping and Accounting or Tertiary level finance qualification;
  • Demonstrated experience in a general finance role within the NDIS sector;
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite inclusive of Excel spreadsheets and formulations;
  • Experience in the use of LUMARY - CMS  will be highly regarded;
  • Solid skills in accounting software – MYOB an advantage;
  • Demonstrated NDIS portal experience;
  • Previous experience and working knowledge of accounts payable and receivable procedures;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and integrity of data with preparing and entering financial information;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with good time management skills;
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, a professional manner and and well developed emotional intelligence

  • Employment will be subject to a satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Check and completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation module;
  • Monkami Annual Statutory Screening Declaration;
  • Current International Police Check clearance (in accordance with criteria);
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence
