About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Transport Officer, you will be known for your optimism and positive attitude.  Monkami’s transport team supports our participants to get to and from our Centre Based Support program, weekdays.  The team monitors the fleet, providing regular upkeep, and ensuring they remain clean and presentable.   Monkami's fleet mainly consists of 10-12 seater mini buses.  

Our transport team operates weekdays, 7.00am – 9.00am, 2.45pm – 4.45pm. 

 

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have an unwavering focus on safety and skillful driving. You will be friendly, approachable, and committed to providing a professional service to key stakeholders and participants.

Additionally, you will:

  • Hold a valid and current approved Victorian Driver’s Licence, a Light or Medium Rigid Truck Licence, strongly preferred
  • Have a clean driving history 
  • Have exceptional customer service skills and a calm and understanding manner
  • Have a sound understanding of the disability sector 
  • As a disability provider, we require employees to be COVID-19 vaccinated

 

Qualifications & experience

To be considered for this role, you will have the mandatory requirements of;

  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence, preferably LR or MR 
  • Level 2 First Aid (current)
  • Experience in working with people within human services sectors 
  • Comfortable with computer applications including Microsoft Office and online systems
  • NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission Worker Orientation Module.
  • Zero Tolerance Training.   
  • Experience in working with people within human services sectors 
  • Understanding of the NDIS Act, Quality and safeguards Commission, Road Safety Rules
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance

 

Compliance

Monkami operates a stringent safety screening process for preferred candidates that will require two satisfactory current professional references, an identity check, qualification check, satisfactory national and international (where required) criminal history checks. 

Candidates must have the right to work in Australia.

In addition, employment will be subject to a satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance and completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation module.
