Mandatory Requirements for Disability Support Workers: To be considered for a Disability Support Worker role at Monkami, you are required to hold currency in the following: Certificate IV in Community Services (Disability – Community and Adult Support Services), or a Tertiary qualification directly related to disability; Minimum 12 months full time work experience providing support services to people with disability; Current Level 2 First Aid (Provide First Aid), CPR (Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and Asthma and Anaphylaxis accreditation; and A valid Victorian Driver Licence. You must also have the right to work in Australia. In addition, in accordance with the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission’s requirements, Monkami operates a stringent safety screening process for all preferred candidates which requires two satisfactory professional references, an identity check, satisfactory national and international (where required) criminal history checks.
